Amy Smart is an American former actress and model. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart started her modeling career in California. Her acting career began in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. From there to starring as a supporting character in the film Starship Troopers she struggled very difficult. It was difficult for her to transition between modeling and acting because the models werent usually considered to be good actors and were mostly granted smaller, insignificant roles. Amy did not give up. Her first major part came from The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. She then ventured into the main roles for the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained recognition after more than ten years of struggling. Then she went on to work in many of the greatest films including the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless in which she played an enduring character.
