Amy Smart has been a actor, model and former American. The modeling career she began with was in Italy which is in which she was born and raised, before being born in California. Her acting career started in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. The actress struggled for an appearance on Starship Troopers. Amy struggled to make the transition from modeling to acting since models aren't usually thought of as good actors. They're often given small or unimportant roles. Amy was determined to succeed and she eventually landed larger roles beginning with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. She then ventured into the lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy was recognized after more than ten years trying. Amy went on to appear in major films such as the Crank Series opposite Jason Statham, and Shameless.
